So I'm planning on buying my parents a PS3 for primarily watching netflix and bluray movies. To all of you who actually watch bluray movies on your ps3. Hows the quality ? Does it run very well ? Also for netflix how is the quality ? Is there any skips or lags like my pc has from time to time?

blu ray movies work fantastically, great quality, great sound, great everything. as for netflix, idk

BluRay is obviously great
Netflix all depends on your connection

Netflix quality all depends on the connection, lower speeds downgrades quality
If your connection speed is lower than 1.3MB, you might get those dreaded "buffering" for videos on Netlix

netflix runs smooth, quality and "BUFFERING..." screen dont appear often. sometimes, very rare it glitches up and the menus come out half way. other than that its good

well its a 20 billion year old console by now so i was wondering if it would stilll get the job done :p itll be mostly for movies and besides ill have a psvita by christmas.

Netflix is great at High HD. Blueray is beautiful. Dont forget your HD connection to get full benefits.

There are some Blueray players that have wifi too for netflix if thats all you need.

well netflix is nice but not all movies wanted are there , blue ray is amazing , for searching on netflix i go to instantwatchers.com to find all movies if on netflix instantwatch on ps3

Blu-Ray has the best quality any movie could have. Example Avatar in blu ray is really a great experience.

Netflix is Internet based. If you have a good Internet connection, you'd have perfect quality and no interruptions.

But depends do they want to pay $8 a month or nearly $20 for a blu ray?

Try 100$ for all 4 blurays of yu yu hakusho which im plannning to buy now that ill be buying a ps3 for bluray use . thanks peoples!
