Hi, I have a Samsung TV and my PS3 was connected to it with a HDMI cable, when i used to press the PS Button it used to turn the PS3 on (by default) and also change from AV to HDMI1. it was all handy dandy until my HDMI Cable broke.

I brought a new HDMI Cable and connected it as normal did not change a single setting on the ps3 or the TV however it doesn't automatically switch to HDMI1 anymore i have to use the samsung remote, which is kind of annoying, So any help would be appreciated.. Oh and HDMI Control was always on..

I'm not saying the problem is with the T.V i'm not sure which one it is, The Television or the Playstation 3. Understand now?

Try to reset your PS3 by holding the power button until you hear a beep. If that doesn't work I reccomend you borrow a friends HDMI cable, if it works its a faulty cable.
