Where did you buy it from?

Take the card back with the receipt, tell them that it's not working, and ask them to activate the card. If it still doesn't work, go back to that cashier and tell them again and they may give you a different card.

What does it say when you enter the code? Seems like many people are having problems adding funds either by a credit card or a PSN card.

i just bought 25 pounds and had no problems ( i purchased PSN card online for the first time) you should take it back and hopefully this was a "once in a lifetime" experience.

The cashiers have to ACTIVATE the card before you can go redeem it. Most likely, the cashier forgot to activate the code when you gave it to him. This "Once in a lifetime event" happens a minimum of 5 tines a day. All it is is a simple mistake made by the cashier.

Unless they activate it, you have a piece of plastic.

They activate them so that way people can't guess PSN codes or steal the cards to get free money. That's why it's important you have your receipt when you take it back.

Yeah, cashiers really need to pay attention to what they are doing. Like when I bought my Vita, they forgot my memory stick/card... I always wondered how...

Anyways, you should always make sure that you keep your receipts in case something like this happens.

They did! I just got a refund and tried another card (like the one before) Infront of them and it worked.
