Does most Vita games save data to Game Cartridge or the Memory Card itself

I believe you need a memory to play any game for installation. I think save files go onto the game card but downloaded ones go on the mem card.

okay so how do downloaded games get saved, to memory card??

Th save data goes on the memory card but is also linked to the game
The bubble is both save data and the game (This goes for physical and digital)

If you delete the bubble, you also delete the save data.
So back up anything!

The save data as far as i know is on the card ... i recently had to rebuild my Vita's system and then i noticed that all my memcard games "bubbles" were gone i was freaking out first but when inserted the games they installed back having my save files + trophy support on so phew and yay they are on it :D
