When ever I hold the right directional button for more than 5 seconds, the home menu comes up. You know, the 'Are You Sure You Want To Quit?' screen? This gets really annoying during racing games. How do I fix this?
Hmm. Haven't posted in a while.

i had same problem except it was when i hold down the analogue stick

Try blowing in the D-Pad. I had the same problem with my 3001, but it fixed on its own over time..

It's most likely dust or dirt stuck in and between your buttons, if you don't mind loosing your warranty you could open it up and clean it preferably with compressed air. But please remember you could cause more damage than good.

any solutions that DON'T require opening it? the warraty's up and i don't want to risk it.

Blow into the cracks between the buttons? You could just find a repair shop and they could do it for you but that costs more.

Yeah, i blew in to the cracks and wiped it with a damp cloth. works now. thanks everyone!
