PS3 system software update 4.21 will be released soon. It's a minor, optional update that improves software stability.
Might already be out, have to check on my PS3, but you will be able to access PSN without installing this update, as it's only optional.

i dont really see the point in optional updates but its nice tough ... i guess :D

I bet their going to make it mandetory like they usually do...

I wish they would scrap the optional updates and change to a model of releasing updates once every few months, which would mean much more meaningful updates, and less hassle, for the user.
