You can try reading the Product Reviews for it on Amazon.

Anyway, headsets that let you hear the game audio ALWAYS let you hear the voice chat at the same time.

If you want in-game and voice chat (plus the option to switch between the two) I'd buy the Official Sony Playstation 7.1 Surround Sound Headset. The quality of the mic is really good as well and it's only $100.

At E3, Sony introduced the Pulse Wireless Stereo Headset.

Basically an improved version of the Original PlayStation Wireless Stereo Headset. Starts at $150 though.

as personal experience i have the 7.1 Sony headset and it works good the sound is nice and the only downside is that it can give some strange noise while you adjust it on your head xD but it charges fast and you can use it during recharge + the battery lasts long enough to play a lot totally wireless. but i cant make the decision for you :)

Im in the 40$-60$ range so i found that the p11 have the same 4/5 star as the xtatic and it cheaper. So should i get the xtatic sp or p11 i really like the sp for its looks and durablity but i also like the p11 for its bass boost and more volume control but ive heard lots of bad stuff of the p11 such as its very flimsy and feels like itll break easily.

I have the P11, it's more durable than people make it out to be, just don't go throwing it around and stuff lol, theP11 also doesn't have bassboost, px21 does, and p11 ear pieces feel a little small to me and a bit uncomfortable but they perform outstanding

The 50mm and 40mm are the sizes of the headphone drivers in each headset but having a bigger driver doesn't necessarily mean that a headphone sounds better.

Oh ok but idk if i should get the p11 cuz there are good reviews and bad reviews all mixed up so its hard to decide same goes with the xtatic sp. btw the official ps3 headset is wireless but u dont want a wireless headset can i still use it plugged in? How long is the cable then?

I would not reccommend P11, the GAME volume stopped working after the second week of having it. P21's are a bit more pricey, but they lasted me for at least a year. Think they're like $80 but worth every penny.

I've had mine for over 6 months and they still act as if I just bought them, you got a defective model maybe??
And @buttonmasher it does block out noise pretty good, and it's probably uncomfortable for me cause my fairly large ears haha

if you are talking about ear piece headsets then id reccomond the gioteck px2 as i had 1 and i loved it as it was light , comfortable , quick charge , long battery and was only around £25 which i am not sure how much is in dollars. but mine was great until it broke because of someone standing on it...

oh sorry the one i reccomended above has a ear hook it does go over your ear , and its not a ear piece. the part where the sounds comes out just rests on your ear. check it out.
