Even though we are hardly going to see any UMD releases over here in our part of the world, they are still cranking them out over in Japan. And this must be shared because I'm all about laughing at this situation, even though someone probably got fired for this.

After having that translated, you would see a press release apology to all the purchasers of Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII for the PSP. Because Koei, the publisher, accidently had all of the UMDs made with Romance of the Three Kingdoms VII on it.

In case you didn't catch that ... they just released the VIII (or 8th) game of the series, but all of the UMDs had VII (or 7th) game of the series burned onto them.

All of the other stuff was correct (box art, instruction manual, UMD label, etc...). It was just so very awesome that this actually made it to store shelves ... talk about a collectors item!

LOL This is way worse than that Resident Evil "Revelaitons" incident a few months ago

EPIC FAAAIL! Imagine already having the 7th game and opening the same game. Do the people who bought it at least get a refund?

Lol I don't think you would even want a refund, it'd just be nice to have. :p

I do believe the linked press release tells people who have purchased the game to contact the publisher for UMDs with the real 8th game in the series on the disc.

a similar thing happened to me with Fifa 11 , the display case the umd is held on had all the correct info etc on it but when i opened it the actual umd didnt have anything written on it at all.. not even "psp" was on it. i thought it was just someone who couldnt be bothered to do it or the store gave me a dodgy copy , but it was actually fifa 11 and worked all good. but to this day i still have a blank umd that i often forget what it is haha :) Anyone have a idea what happened to it ?
