EA has officially announced Battlefield 4, in the shape of an exclusive beta for those who pre-order Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition.

This news first appeared over the weekend, when Origin – EA's digital distribution platform – carried an advertisement mentioning a BF4 beta.

“Though Battlefield and Medal of Honor Warfighter each offer players a completely unique experience, they are united by their underlying technology base – Frostbite. These are two of the hottest shooters, coming together to deliver a one-two punch of action, intensity and shooter entertainment,” said Frank Gibeau, President of EA Labels.

Access to the exclusive beta will be available in Autumn 2013, and further details on Battlefield 4 will be revealed at a later date, said EA.

So much for the rumors... so this is true people! How do you feel about it? Do you think it's too early for a Battlefield 4? Or are you excited for it?
While the article doesn't say in which plataforms the game is going to be, I'll keep this here until we get confirmation, considering MOH: Warfighter will be released for PS3.

Its likely not gonna be out til 2014, if the beta isnt til fall 2013, but the announcement is too soon.

I dont know about you guys ... i am a fan of the FPS genre but these modern warfare shooters are getting boring VERY VERY boring ... give us a break devs and publishers will you?

LOL Play something else like RPG, fighting, or action to get a change of pace. If you play too much of something, you 'll get bored of it and hate it.

For this news, I am kinda a little excited and surprised that they are having a new BF game ready to come out already. If anything, I wish they don't mess up the maps and player count like BF3.

You can pre-order Medal of Honor: Warfighter (Limited Edition/Deluxe Edition) on the game's official website, the PS3 Version is only $59.99 (Limited Edition), while the Deluxe Edition for PC is $69.99. Pre-Ordering the Limited Edition includes Access to the Battlefield 4 Beta which starts in Fall 2013.

I'm just hoping that Battlefield 4 debuts on Nex-Gen Consoles...

I don't really see that coming... It 's more likely to be on the present PS3 and 360.

But what's the point of releasing another Battlefield game on the current generation? You can tell that DICE has limitations using Frostbite 2 on PS3 and 360, compared to PC.

Fall 2013... Hopefully Nex-Gen Consoles appear at E3 2013...

Doubt it'll be a "Next Gen Console" game. But it should be pretty awesome given Medal of Honor's screens. Can't wait to get some dogtags in the future.

I told you guys! I even posted the EA Presidents confirmation.... anyway I will be buying this game after I see gameplay and read some reviews, right now I'm sticking with BF3.

I hope BF4 turns out to be Battlefield 2143, otherwise I'll be extremely disapointed.

I'm hoping for a Bad Company 3 haha, 2 was great and the ending was just begging for a sequel

If its Battlefield 4 I'm guessing its not gonna be a spin off like Bad Company 3 or 2143.

Medal Of Honor isn't over priced! You have to pre-order the LIMITED EDITION to get in the BF4 beta. That explains why its so expensive lol

Hated Battlefield 3 waiting for Bad Company 3, Bad company 2 had so much teamwork and replay-ability Battlefield 2 not so much :(

bf2 is a good ps2 game but still sucks because the online multiplayer is terminated....
campain just sucked

It doesn't . A majority of PC games go for $50. So, unless this is retailing for $60 on PC, this is a $20 jumpfor Beta acess.

You mean BFBC2 on the ps3 or BFMC (the only bf game on the ps2)?

Guys, medal of honor warfighter is 59.99 for all, 69.99 is a deluxe edition only available for purchase on origin I think
