Hello everyone out there, I assume you already know me, and if not, then allow me to introduce myself as yeah_93, now a proud Core Member of this site. Now, why did I write this review? Because Final Fantasy XIII is my newest game, and since I recently beat it and my memory is still fresh, I’m in a good mood to write it. This is the second of my Review Series in this site, the first being “Dissidia: Final Fantasy”. After I publish this review, I’ll continue my series with reviews of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2, Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy, and some other games that pass by my hand.

Now, I want to state this: My reviews with RPGs are peculiar in some ways. While I believe that Gameplay is like 3/5 of the score of most videogames genres, with RPGs, I handled differently, taking about 1/5, while the other 3/5 belongs to story AND characters. The rest 1/5 is sound, presentation, and all of that. Why? You may ask. Because RPGs aren’t about gameplay, they are about their story, their characters, the world, presentation. Yes, gameplay is still important, but not the same as those aspects. That doesn’t mean I won’t focus on gameplay, as you will spend most of the times in RPGs fighting. And yet, if the gameplay is unsatisfying, then I’m unwilling to continue playing. Why should I keep getting a game that is boring to me?

Now, for the summary of how I reviewed this game: A friend of mine lent it to me about 2 weeks ago, and I finished it yesterday. It took me 37 hours to beat the game, not making any side missions, and grinding the necessary, therefore making it a normal run. I played a bit after I beat it to check some features. I played the game in my TV at 1080i of resolution.

Ok, now that you read it, you can turn the page now.
