Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is a game that was released on the PlayStation Store for $9.99.

Gameplay: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is one of the first Castlevania games that use both platforming gameplay and RPG elements. In this game you play as Alucard, which is the most character you play in the series since he use knives and swords to get rid of the evil. Unlike most characters, he was one of my favorite one to plat in the other games. You are also able to play some people, like in the beginning of the game you play as Ritcher.

This game still plays as good as any other games that are platformers. I also think that this is one of the best game in the whole series. Unlike most games, you can go back to another area of the game. You almost have too do that to get items that you did not get too beat some bosses. This game is even famous for having speed trials, I never even clocked anywhere close to the experts.

There is allot to offer for a game that was released ages ago. Like when you get to turn too a wolf, its pretty awesome. You need most of all of the stuff when you want to casually go through the game. But some people can use there head to get through some impossible obstacles. I was able to get past some areas without being wolf, since in some areas a wolf is needed to get past small holes or long jumps. The long jump was the only the I got past without the wolf, since I did the timing maneuver. Timing maneuvers are very common in most games likes these like MegaMan or Mario bros.

I love how you can make enemies respawn just by going back a level. But this is also very common in some similar games. Use this to you advantage when leveling up or when need some money or magic. You can also find some glitches in this game, since this the exact same as the ps1 game.

Max Money With Librarian and Sword Familiar

Make your way to the Librarians room. Stand near him, but not so you enter his menu's. Cast the sword brothers spell. As the sword starts to spin, walk towards the librarian and enter his menu's. Sell off all but 1 of any single gem. Press start to enter into alucards menu while still in the librarian menu's. (Casting of the sword brothers spell allowed you to enter your menu's while in the librarian's menu's) Have Alucard equip the last gem of the chosen type. Return to the librarian's menu's and sell the last gem to the librarian. Since the gem was removed and you sold something you didn't have for sale, The game drops the count of that gem to 255. Sell off extra gems to max out your money. I suggest using the diamond to get your money the fastest.

I used these glitches when I played this game for the second time since I did not want to ruin my experience the first time around. But if your lazy to make the money yourself, then use the glitches in this game. There are allot f strategy's for this game like, beating it in with little time, get all items and level him to max, or the casual playthrough with minimum stuff to beat. I did beat it in about 4 hours trying to find most items and exploring the dungeon. It just weird that your able to beat in under an hour. That is one achievement to make in games.

Graphics/Presentation
: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night plays as a 2D side-scroller. Sprites are greatly animated in this game. But the sprites don't look good when you put the game in full screen (when on PSP). Presentation is good. Menus look like a Castlevania game. Menus when you equip stuff and check status look like an old NES game.

Sound: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night has one of the best soundtrack in a Castlevania game has ever had. Music will be in your head and have you humming the themes from the game. Voice acting is bad and good. The good of the voice acting is that there is voice acting. The bad is they cant act. It is like the director's of the game told the voice actor's to do there lines without enthusiasm. Especially when Richter says "Die monster".

Last Note: This is a classic game hands down. It even considered as one of the best Castlevania games. For only $9.99, there is no reason why not to get this game. They're some people that cant find this game on a disc, so the PS Store is your friend when buying this game. Just get it. Only other game that is on the same caliber are Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles and that about it.
